High-Volume Products, Commercial Properties, and Group Shots

High-Volume Product Photography? No problem!

Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed with the sheer scope of a project? My clients sometimes do. And when they tell me they’ve been tasked with reshooting their entire product line—potentially hundreds of images—I assure them I have the experience needed to take on projects of this size and to make them manageable for my clients.

The trick is to break the job down into various smaller jobs. After all, very rarely is a client with hundreds of products to shoot able to deliver all of those products to me at one time. Some products are not in stock, some are being shipped from overseas. Whatever the situation, shooting products in small batches is the smart way to go. Simply ship what products you have now, and the rest as they become available.

The other thing I do to ease their mind is to employ a testing phase whereby I can shoot some sample shots for their review, flagging any potential issues before diving into the larger product pool. Do you have a large volume of products you need professionally photographed? Give me ring, and let’s talk!

For Commercial Properties, It’s All About Showcasing Them In Their Best Light

Arco National Construction contacted me recently to photograph their newly built 146,000 square foot spec warehouse in Littleton, MA. Large buildings call for a wide angle lens, a steady tripod, and plenty of photoshop know-how to get the final images just right. Keeping Corporate Group Shots Up-To-Date With A Little Help From Photoshop

Take a look at the two images below. Notice a difference? The gentleman seated on the left side in the first image had left the practice since this picture was taken and the woman in the second photo was subsequently hired. What to do? My client, Perkins and Anctil of Westford, MA recently called me with this very dilemma. The solution? We scheduled a photoshoot where we setup the scene exactly as we had for the original picture. I carefully positioned the camera and lighting the same way I had for the first image and had the new person pose on the left. With the aid of Photoshop, I was able to seamlessly replace him with her. We accomplished this all without having to bother everyone in the group to sit for another portrait. Do you have a similar photo challenge? Give me a call and let’s talk! And check out more corporate headshots and group shots here!
