Driving Sales for WeWork, Golden Girl Granola, Tiny Tags, and Octoscope through Strategic Photography
Inside My Architectural Shoot For WeWork
I was commissioned recently to take on a shoot of WeWork’s co-working space in Boston’s back bay. Working with local prop stylist, Kate Colangeli, I set about to capture the look and feel of the event spaces in order to showcase its functionality, amenities, and unique design elements to host events. If you’ve ever wondered why a space looks “effortlessly” perfect in a magazine, it’s usually thanks to someone like Kate. Together, we obsessed over the details like the composition, the feel, and of course, the lighting. I was balancing the interior lighting, studio lights, and the sun streaming in from the windows. How did I do?
Setting The Gold Standard: My Food Shoot With Golden Girl Granola
You’ve probably seen them on your grocery shelves. And if you love granola, you probably know Golden Girl Granola. Owner Deborah hired me to shoot some food photography for their Edible Boston’s Holiday Gift Guide. Some shots showcased the delicious granola ready to eat, while some shots were of the classic Golden Girl Granola packaging. Rather than the packaging shots being white background product shots, I had those be lifestyle as well to get a feel for the brand within the photos. See how they came out, below, and See more food photography here.
For E-commerce Clients Like Tiny Tags of Acton, MA, More Photos Equal More Sales.
Local jewelry maker, Tiny Tags of Acton, MA, creates jewelry that celebrates the joy of being a mom. All their jewelry, from Necklaces and chokers to bracelets and rings, can be personalized with a custom monogram, all of which can be seen on their website. But sometimes, showing a photo of a product on white just isn’t enough. That’s where lifestyle and model photography come in. By showcasing the product in context in an attractive and authentic environment, or by employing the aide of a model, you are helping the customer understand what it would be like to own your product and they will be more likely to make a purchase. Check out some examples of lifestyle photography below and on my website.
Putting Wireless Devices To The Test: Product Shoot At Octoscope
OctoScope of Littleton, MA is the market leader in isolated, repeatable and automated wireless personal testbeds. Industries from robotics, medical, wifi, mobile, military and more all depend on Octoscope for over-the-air wireless testing of their products. I teamed up recently with folks at Octoscope to shoot a range of their products as well as to shoot product-in-use or lifestyle photography shots that showcase their products in real life situations. Lifestyle photography in this industry is essential because seeing the product in a professional, active environment signals reliability, as well as helping the viewer immediately grasp the scale and utility of the equipment.
